Description

A mechanical fan clutch and fan clutch adapter allows you to install a non-electrical fan clutch on the Ford 6.0L diesel!

This combination of Hayden mechanical fan clutch and BulletProof fan adapter allow you to use a 6.0L fan blade assembly with a mechanical/thermal fan clutch. This combination works very well for those that require heavy duty cooling needs.

Please note - that installation of a mechanical fan clutch does NOT set a check engine light. It will set a "soft code" (the code is stored in the computer) but no check engine light will be turned on.

Great upgrade

This is a great upgrade to the cooling system on any 6.0 power stroke. Noticeable difference in temperatures for both coolant and oil, in my case I already had the HD BPD front mount oil cooler. Installed the fan clutch, adapter, aluminum radiator, and 185 degree thermostat. Towed my camper with the new upgrades and yesterday and temps ran around 190 for both coolant and oil. Couldn’t be happier, and glad I decided to upgrade.

Great product

I was surprised at how much cooler it keeps the water and oil Temps. Simple installation and no check engine light. It doesn't make any more noise than original fan when towing and original fan was running on high, but it does run at that higher level more so you get a little more noise, not louder just more of it. I am very satisfied with it.

Problem Solved

After battling my fan and cooling system for close to two years, 2 clutch fans, and non stop troubleshooting of why my fan would turn off when the EOT and ECT was climbing while going up grades, I finally bought the Mechanical Fan Clutch and it has been the best purchase I have made for my 6.0. I have zero trouble pulling my travel trailer in 100 degree heat up steep grades between Nevada and Oregon. The clutch took about 300 miles to break in, where it wasn't on 100% of the time. I also have the BPD oil cooler and egr. With all three of these products my truck runs better than it ever has. Thank you BPD for all your great work!
