The Heavy-Duty version oil cooler is the right cooler for all 6.0L diesel trucks that work and work hard. This means that if you have a DRW F350, F450 or F550 - you are going to want this heavy duty option. If you have an F250 or F350 (Single Rear Wheel) and you tow heavy or often with your truck, then this is the best option for you.

The Cold Weather Kit serves just like a coolant thermostat for the Bullet Proof Oil Cooler system. It is designed to allow your engine oil to warm up in cold weather climates before it circulates the oil through the air-to-oil cooler. Keep in mind, the Bullet Proof air-to-oil cooler is designed to work in hot summer climates like Phoenix, Arizona. This means that it will work exceedingly well in Alaska in January. Good rule of thumb? If you think you might need the cold weather kit, then you should buy it.

over all a great item for the 6.0   i feel this will make my 6.0 last much longer. not crazy about the mounting of the oil cooler to the a/c cond. a simple bracket system to locate it in front  it would make the install much easier and no need to vac the a/c system and recharge. even though i did install it without removing or recharging the a/c cond.

Excellent oil cooler! March 15, 2018

The folks at Bullet Proof are excellent to work with and very helpful!  Install went very smooth and easy.  only thing I missed was the statement to tighten the inlet hose prior to installing the turbo. I welded up a special tool to solve the problem.

Great product instructions were informative. Myself and a buddy tackled this project we removed the bumper headlights and the front clip for easy of access. Only thing we did different is the a/c condenser was not disconnected
