The Heavy-Duty version oil cooler is the right cooler for all 6.0L diesel trucks that work and work hard. This means that if you have a DRW F350, F450 or F550 - you are going to want this heavy duty option. If you have an F250 or F350 (Single Rear Wheel) and you tow heavy or often with your truck, then this is the best option for you.

The Cold Weather Kit serves just like a coolant thermostat for the Bullet Proof Oil Cooler system. It is designed to allow your engine oil to warm up in cold weather climates before it circulates the oil through the air-to-oil cooler. Keep in mind, the Bullet Proof air-to-oil cooler is designed to work in hot summer climates like Phoenix, Arizona. This means that it will work exceedingly well in Alaska in January. Good rule of thumb? If you think you might need the cold weather kit, then you should buy it.

Oil Cooler System June 18, 2018
Reviewer: Andrew Loiacono from Alpine, CA United States
We were not aware that there was a possibility that we might have to purchase another cooler if we had a hi mount P/S cooler.  Also, we did not notice mention of an engine oil level addition, we used four more quarts than usual.

Good and not so much June 4, 2018

First off the product it's self is the answer your looking for. My only complaint about it is the instructions. I am not a mechanic, but owning a 6.0 and doing my own maintenance means I am slightly ahead of most. While they do provide a book I found it almost useless. Except for a couple of pics and diagrams.  That said this is a project that is not for the faint of heart. Can you do it, Yes if you have a good knowledge and can turn a wrench. It took some trial an error for me. But it got done and I am extremely pleased with the final results. Would I do it again yes. Be prepared to cuss and for it to take more time then you expected.  I learned alot I never wanted to know. But the end result is a much better 6.0 powerstroke, worth the expense and hours of work.

Remote oil cooler, deep, cold weather package May 30, 2018
Reviewer: Jared from Sparks, NV
Kit is awesome and the parts are all quality parts down to the hardware.  Install was a little rough (first time diving into the old 6.0) and took several weekends to install.  I had the 17" tall transmission cooler which had to be lowered (super messy, have a large drain pain when removing!).  Installed without removing the AC condenser which increased install time but I did not have a way to dispose of refrigerant (removed all other coolers in the way which allowed room for a small drill).  All in all install went well and parts lined up as they should have, would definitely recommend to anyone who owns a 6.0!  Side note I have not seen oil temps exceed 190°F in mid 70's weather, nor have I seen coolant temps reach higher than 204°F (mishimoto 204 thermostat) unloaded during work commute (30ish miles one way).

over all a great item for the 6.0   i feel this will make my 6.0 last much longer. not crazy about the mounting of the oil cooler to the a/c cond. a simple bracket system to locate it in front  it would make the install much easier and no need to vac the a/c system and recharge. even though i did install it without removing or recharging the a/c cond.
