The Bullet Proof Diesel Billet Water Pump is designed for maximum durability. It features an aluminum impeller in place of the OEM plastic impeller, top of the line bearing assembly, top-grade seal and an all-billet precision machined housing. This stronger impeller resists cracking along the hub helping to prevent impeller failures, overheating engines and expensive repairs. The aluminum impeller is also stiffer and stronger and therefore less likely to flex under heavy loads, leading to less cavitation and less erosion within the front cover. The billet housing is strong and more precise than a typical water pump cast housing.

If you have a 4EA or 4EB VIN code (read below) then you might want to measure your impeller size before ordering to ensure the proper size and fitment. Please call if you have any questions so that we can help you with getting the right Bullet Proof Diesel water pump.

Need help with your production date? If you have a 2003 you are in the 2003-2004.25 production date. If you have a 2005 or newer, you have a 2004.25 and newer production date. If you have a 2004 model you need to check your VIN code to determine your production date.

A sample VIN code is: 1FTRW21P2 4EB10150. In the middle of the VIN code, you see the digits "4EB". The 4 means that it was a 2004 model year. The "E" denotes which production plant built your truck. In this case, E is for Kentucky. Lastly, the "B" is the start of the sequence number (the last 6 digits of the VIN). Some early 2004 models have a "4EA" code. The "A" denotes the early build and most likely is a 2003-2004.25 production date. A "B", "C", "D" or more all denote later model 2004 builds with 2004.25 and newer production dates.

AWESOME AS USUAL September 14, 2018

well... starting by the packing, this people even pack "bullet proof" im telling you, there is no way anything you order from them will ever arrived damaged, they "expansion foam everything", The water pump: well build, feels strong, perfect fit and extremely easy to install, I also got the 7.3 fan clutch conversion kit (includes the adapter nut) this clutch is no more noisy than the oem and it does kick in early , im running 4 degrees cooler than oem fan. The adapter nut: well built, good looking too, perfect fit and no clearance issues between fan and anything else, too bad nothing of this good looking gear shows, they are covered by the belt pulley. But... a 5 star product.

Be Careful with Install August 28, 2018

I have slowly been replacing everything with Bulletproof Diesel parts as they fail. First it was the EGR, than the FICM power supply, so I thought hey why not put in the water pump while you're in there this time since they make a better one? My plastic one looked fine when I pulled it with 130k on the truck. You will need some special tools to get the fan nut off and a lot of patience. After installing it and spinning it I noticed some drag and removed it to find the pump had shaved some aluminum out of the inside of the hole. After inspection I realized that Bulletproof Diesel cut bigger holes for the mounting bolts (I assume because they powder coat the thing even though you'll never see it) which means there is some play and you have to center it before tightening it to keep it from contacting the sides. I did my best to center it and I hope it lasts. I wish they would have machined stock holes in it and forgot about the powder coat.

Homerun Item August 20, 2018
Reviewer: John Derrick from Rockledge, FL United States
If you have your diesel in the shop doing the head stud replacement upgrade...you need to consider replacing the factory water pump that has that plastic impeller and replace it with Bullet Proof's metal-impeller water pump to make that "Homerun" to the million-mile target.  Just finished the complete bullet-proofing on my 2003 F-250 at 297,400 miles....bring her home Bullet Proof!!!
