Perfect Solution

Perfect Solution, In my case, the stock fan clutch failed to engage under any circumstance. Allowing the coolant temps to exceed 238 degrees in stop and go traffic in the Texas summer heat. Even after a full diagnostic from the Ford dealer and despite replacing fan clutch twice, still no clutch engagement. Ford isolated the issue to the truck’s wiring harness and wanted an additional $2000 to replace with No guarantees that it would actually resolve the issue.
Instead of Fords idea of a “parts cannon” I chose the 7.3 clutch swap. Did the conversion myself in the driveway, parts fit and work perfectly.
I would suggest replacing water pump, thermostat, coolant sensor, idler pulleys, serpentine belt and fully flushing coolant if you haven’t done so. BPD has an amazing water pump if you’re needing to replace it.
Coolant temps have not exceeded 198 degrees in normal driving in 100+ degree Texas heat. Major Improvement

High Quality Part

This part is well made and does the job perfectly. I installed the Hayden 2835 fan clutch and the cooling is remarkably better. One caveat is that it does seem that the clutch I got may be suspect as it never seems to cut out. I am going to give it 1000 miles to see if it loosens up.

A Precision Product

This is the second one I have purchased. It was used to mod a friends truck for him. I only use the BPD adapters. They are machined properly. I have personally seen the results of other adapters that are out there. Any misalignment caused by an improperly aligned cheaper unit will eventually cause a catastrophic water pump failure, including the loss of the fan, shroud, radiator, and other components. Do not cheap out on this part, use the BPD adapter.
